You know something's off.

Maybe your teen has gone quiet in a way that doesn't feel like a phase. Maybe school feels harder than it should. Maybe something hard happened, or they're carrying more than a kid their age should have to carry alone.

Whatever brought you here, you don't have to figure out what to do next on your own. Our clinicians work with tweens and teens ages 12 and up, using conversation-based therapy that meets your kid where they are. For younger children, our play therapy page describes the right approach for that age.

Clinicians who actually work with teens.

Sessions are delivered by Delicia Porter, LPC, and Amanda Case, LPC, both of whom have specific training in working with younger clients. They bring the warmth, patience, and lack of pretense that tweens and teens actually respond to.

When you book, you'll pick whichever clinician feels like the right fit for your child. If you're not sure, we'll help you decide before you commit.

What to expect when you start.

Bringing a kid to therapy can feel like a big decision. Here's how it actually works.

1
Book the Intake
Pick a clinician and a time online. We'll send a confirmation right away with the intake forms to complete before the first session.
2
First Session
The first session is usually with you and your child together, so the clinician can hear from both of you and your child can get comfortable.
3
Build the Relationship
From there, sessions are typically one-on-one with your child, with check-ins for parents to stay informed about progress and how to support at home.
4
Ongoing Care
Your child's clinician will track progress together with them and revisit goals over time. Every kid moves at their own pace, and the work flexes with where they are.
For Parents

We keep you in the loop.

Therapy works best when your child has a confidential space with their clinician AND you know enough to support what's happening between sessions. We balance both: your child's privacy is protected so they can be honest, and you receive regular updates on themes, progress, and what's helpful at home.

When safety is a concern, you'll be informed without exception. That's a promise, not a policy.

Insurance accepted.

Parent Questions

What age range does this page cover?
This page is for tweens and teens ages 12 and up who can engage in conversation-based therapy. For younger children, Amanda Case offers specialized play therapy that's developmentally a better fit; see our play therapy page for that approach.
Who actually does the therapy?
Delicia Porter, LPC, and Amanda Case, LPC. Both are licensed in Oklahoma with specific training in working with younger clients. You can read more about each of them on our team page.
What if my child doesn't want to go?
It's normal. Many kids are nervous about therapy before they start, especially teens. The first session is usually with you in the room so your child can see what they're walking into, and our clinicians know how to make a hesitant kid feel comfortable. Most kids settle in quickly once they realize therapy is not what they were imagining.
Will I know what my child talks about in session?
Your child needs to be able to be honest with their therapist for the work to help them, so the specifics of what they share are kept confidential. You'll receive regular updates on themes, progress, and what you can do to support at home, without the play-by-play. The one exception is safety: if there is a concern about your child's safety or anyone else's, you will be informed.
How often will my child come?
Most kids start weekly and adjust from there. The clinician will talk through frequency with you and your child at the start, and revisit it as your child progresses.
Do you bill insurance for child and teen therapy?
Yes. We are in-network with most major plans, including BlueCross BlueShield, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, TRICARE, Cigna, Optum, HealthChoice, and Healthcare Highways. We also accept Lyra for families with that EAP benefit. Your cost depends on your specific plan's copay, coinsurance, and deductible. Plan availability can vary by clinician, so call (405) 370-4594 to verify your child's coverage before the first session.
What if we need a higher level of care?
If your child needs more support than virtual outpatient therapy can provide, including medication or intensive programs, your clinician will tell you and help you find the right next step. We won't keep working with a family we can't actually help.

Have a different question? Call (405) 370-4594 and we'll talk it through before you book.
